John Lindsay, Patent and Intellectual Property Attorney

Principal attorney John Lindsay's combined background in technology, business, and law is well suited to addressing clients' concerns. Mr. Lindsay is an engineer turned intellectual property attorney. He has a technical background in computer science, chemistry, and light electronics. In software & information technology, Mr. Lindsay is experienced in foundational programming languages, internet application development, business applications, and network architecture, having worked in environments ranging from independent contracting to IBM. In chemistry, he has a Bachelors of Science. In electronics, Mr. Lindsay's background includes circuit building experience.
Mr. Lindsay has drafted patent applications in the software, business methods, electronics, firmware, chemical syntheses, medical devices, and consumer product fields. Representative draftings include radio frequency wave modulation, hydrocarbon synthesis, orthopedic surgical devices, software gaming systems, and sporting goods. He has filed and prosecuted trademark applications for those launching brand names. Additionally, he has drafted transfer and license agreements to support the monetization of intellectual property. And at times, Mr. Lindsay has helped defend clients' intellectual property rights in domain name arbitration and the court room.
Mr. Lindsay has assisted a variety of businesses with their intellectual property needs and frequently counsels and presents on patent, copyright, trademark, technology, and commercialization issues.
